Federico F. Peña Southwest Family Health Center Pharmacy Will Be Open Later for Patient Convenience
Starting Monday, June 13th, the Denver Health Federico F. Peña Southwest Family Health Center Pharmacy, 1339 S. Federal Blvd., is extending its hours to better serve Denver Health patients and the community. The Peña Pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The 9 p.m. weekday closing time is the latest of all of the Denver Health Outpatient Pharmacy locations. The addition of Sunday hours are also new.
Pharmacy managers have hired additional staff to help with the expanded hours, including two new part-time pharmacists and additional pharmacy technicians. Pharmacy Manager Michael Lupo believes the expanded hours will give Denver Health patients better access and more personalized service. "It's a huge convenience to get your prescription filled at the same time and place as your medical appointment. The biggest benefit is the pharmacy's collaboration with Denver Health providers. Other pharmacies just cannot compete with the partnership providers have with all of the Denver Health pharmacies. This collaboration ensures optimal dosing and making sure the patient is paying the least amount for their medications."
Lupo assures that with the expanded hours, patients can still expect the good customer service they've come to expect from the Federico F. Peña Southwest Family Health Center Pharmacy.
