Spanish Newborn (Clase de Cuidado del Recién Nacido)
Esta clase es ideal para padres primerizos, les ayudará a usted y su pareja a convertirse en padres más tranquilos y seguros con consejos, actividades e información útiles. Aprenderá acerca de que esperar en las primeras horas de vida de su bebe y de la apariencia del mismo, así como también sobre comportamiento del recién nacido, la nutrición, el cuidado diario, cuándo llamar para pedir ayuda y sobre la seguridad del bebé. Se motiva a las parejas y a los papas a asistir a esta clase con la mamá.
Spanish Childbirth (Clases de parto)
El prepararse para tener un bebé puede ser algo emocionante y abrumador a la vez. Esta clase de tres horas le ayudará a planear su gran día. Aprenderá a reconocer cuando está en trabajo de parto, que esperar en el hospital y cómo manejar la situación. La persona que le vaya a apoyar en el trabajo de parto puede asistir a clase con usted.
Spanish Breastfeeding (Clase Prenatal de Lactancia)
Esta clase de 2 horas le ayudará a prepararse para la lactancia antes del parto para que pueda lograr la mejor experiencia de amamantamiento para usted y su bebé. Aprenderá cómo funciona la lactancia materna, cuándo alimentar a su bebé, signos de que su bebé está recibiendo suficiente leche y cómo cuidarse a si misma.
Newborn Care Class
Ideal for first-time expectant parents, this class will help you and your partner become more comfortable and confident parents with helpful hints, activities and information you can use. You’ll learn about newborn appearance, what to expect in the first few hours, nutrition, newborn behavior, daily care, baby safety and when to call for help. Partners or fathers are encouraged to attend this class with mom.
CPR Class for Mom and Partner (expectant parents only)
The American Heart Association’s Family & Friends® CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of child CPR with breaths, child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
Childbirth Class
Preparing to have a baby can feel exciting and overwhelming all at once. This condensed, three-hour class will help you plan for your big day. You will learn to recognize when you are in labor, what to expect during labor at the hospital, and how to manage labor. Your labor support person is welcome to attend class with you.
Lactation (Prenatal Breastfeeding Class)
Instructed by one of Denver Health’s International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants, this two-hour class will help you prepare for breastfeeding prior to delivery so you can achieve the best breastfeeding experience for you and your baby.
Boot Camp for New Moms ®
Boot Camp is a unique workshop where first-time moms get advice and insights from real new moms. You’ll hear how women manage the challenges many new moms face. The workshop offers a no-guilt, no judgment place to discuss how to raise your baby. FOR EXPECTANT MOMS ONLY.
Effective January 1, 2024 all prenatal education classes will require a $35 nonrefundable registration fee.
Boot Camp for New Dads ®
