- If during the Center for Occupational Safety and Health's (COSH) business hours, direct the employee to the COSH clinic for medical care. The COSH clinic is located at 660 Bannock Street (In Pavilion L, 7th floor - Outpatient Medical Center, and is open Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.). If an injury is serious or happens after hours, direct your employee to the nearest emergency room for medical care. An injured employee can either walk-in to be seen or schedule an appointment by calling the primary COSH phone number (303-436-7155).
- If the employee is a Denver Health employee or City and County of Denver employee, please have them first contact the OuchLine.
- If you would like to be set up as an employer within the COSH system, please call 303-436-7155 and ask to be directed to the Clerical Supervisor who can complete your company profile and provide you information on your experience with COSH.
- COSH works with a number of worker's compensation insurance programs. Consult with your insurance provider or call us to see if COSH is part of your network.
- COSH is a part of the Pinnacol Assurance, Berkshire/Hathaway, and Liberty Mutual networks. If you are a Pinnacol client, you can select COSH as one of your two options for care by calling Pinnacol or through Pinnacol's SelectNet online service.
- As an employer, you are required to provide your employee with up to four choices in medical care for a work-related injury or illness. - COSH providers are trained in occupational medicine practices and are all Level I/Level II accredited. This means that they are experienced in treating and understanding medical injuries and illnesses that occur in the workplace.
- COSH is backed by an extensive health care network at Denver Health that includes a Level I trauma center, public health experts, orthopaedic specialists, occupational and physical therapists, state-of-the-art radiology department (CT scan and MRI) and other specialty providers that your employees can access.
- COSH employs two full-time case managers that monitor each case to ensure that the employee makes a safe transition back to work. These case managers monitor the patient's progress, ensure the patient is receiving high-quality care and facilitate appointments in the Denver Health system to make the process much easier for both the employee and employer.
- COSH is a member of the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics. This means that COSH adheres to specific criteria that promote high quality heath care to patients with work-related injuries or illnesses and aid in preventing occupational and environmental hazards.
