Our Nursing Team

Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Kathy Boyle has been at Denver Health for nine years and is the current chair of the national Vizient Academic CNO Network. Boyle is an advocate for Shared Governance, workforce development and people-centered care delivery. A variety of nurses serve on national health care boards and are faculty in colleges of nursing.

Nursing directors are seasoned in their specialties and promote work-life balance among teams. Our administrative clinical coordinators provide 24/7 support to the Denver Health system and are experienced in managing very complex patient care needs and workforce challenges.

Nurse managers are experts in overseeing their work areas, promoting the use of Lean Systems thinking and Shared Governance principles to include their teams in problem solving at the local level, and they are experts in financial performance.

Nurse educators support the clinical operations through their expertise in orientation of new staff and supporting the professional practice of all nursing staff.

The largest body of leaders includes 150 charge nurse leaders who are trained in key processes to effectively manage shift needs throughout the system.
