Denver Health offers a range of services for genetic screening and testing. The newest of these is the availability of Cell-Free DNA testing to all of our pregnant patients that are at least 10 weeks into their pregnancy. A Cell-Free DNA test uses a blood draw from the mother to look at both the mother’s and baby’s chromosomes to identify genetic disorders that the baby may be at risk for.
Other screening and testing services are available as well. These can be discussed at a visit with our Genetic Counselor, who can review your medical history and family history and determine how they may impact your pregnancy.
