Pharmacy Resident Mentorship Program

The Denver Health Pharmacy Resident Mentorship Program (PRMP) is an innovative and holistic support program designed to reinforce and aid residents as they develop professional skills, strategies, and expertise as a practicing pharmacist under the guidance of a pharmacist mentor. The purpose of this support and growth is to supplement the expected learning and development overseen by clinical preceptors on rotation throughout the residency year. Each resident will be matched to at least one pharmacist mentor that will follow and advise them throughout the course of their residency program. Mentors will be supported by the Program Coordinator and the Mentorship Workgroup, a subcommittee of the Denver Health Pharmacy Residency Advisory Council.

Paul Paratore

Mentorship has long been demonstrated to be a valuable method of conferring experience and skills to trainees and to increase the likelihood of success in an array of different settings, including pharmacy residency programs. The PRMP will always work toward empowering each resident to derive the greatest level of professional and clinical growth from their residency experience. The RAC Mentorship Workgroup will support the mentor-mentee relationship, providing tools as needed to mentors and ensuring a thoughtful match process. I am dedicated to ensuring every resident has the same opportunity to participate in and experience quality precepting and mentorship.”
