Pathology and Laboratory Services

Pathology and laboratory testing assists healthcare providers in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a multitude of medical conditions and diseases. If your doctor requests lab work to be performed, your specimen can be collected at any laboratory in the very clinic you are seen. If available, testing will also be performed in the clinic laboratory on site. We have high quality laboratory services and dedicated laboratory staff. We are committed to providing you and your doctor with the most efficient services and do so with compassion.

The Denver Health laboratory is an accredited, full-service reference laboratory. We are designed to meet the clinical testing needs of physicians and their patients in local hospitals and specialty clinics with maximum convenience, response, quality and customer service.

Denver Health is now equipped to care for patients with Ebola and other high risk pathogenic (HRP) diseases with a dedicated HRP laboratory. Medical laboratory scientists performing tests in suspected Ebola or HRP patients are trained in safety requirements for handling specimens, appropriate personal protection equipment training and instrument decontamination protocols.
