Social Work

Social workers also are available around the clock to assist patients and families in dealing with the myriad issues that can arise from a traumatic injury or sudden illness.

Social workers at Denver Health specialize in crisis intervention, grief and loss support, victim support services, and referrals to other facilities and community agencies.

Denver Health's Clinical Social Workers have Master Degrees in Social Work and are uniquely trained to help people in the context of their environment; they assess all dimensions of an individual's life and culture. Social workers are considered an integral part of each services interdisciplinary treatment team.

Clinical Social Workers understand complex social systems and work to connect people to resources they need. They assist patients and families in overcoming social and/or health problems such as: poverty, homelessness, mental or physical illness, emotional stress, financial problems, domestic violence, substance abuse, child abuse/neglect, or end of life issues.

How To Make A Referral:
